Aim of the project: |
||||
The scientific area of the project is that of new materials with targeted properties i.e. catalytic, for environmental protection. More precisely, the overall goal of the project is to develop suitable strategies for preparation of some Ti(IV), V(IV,V), Cr(III), Mn(II, IV), Fe(III), Co(II, III), Cu(II), Ce(III,IV) complexes of lacunary Dawson metal-oxide clusters, and to learn how to organize them on suitable substrates in order to obtain new materials with catalytic properties for selective oxidation of terpens to useful products for perfumes and flavors industry. In this respect, the metal-oxide clusters are deposited in/on porous oxide materials in form of extruded materials, microparticulate powders or nanostructured thin films and/or layers. The project exhibits a multidisciplinary feature aiming to the Dawson metal-oxide clusters synthesis and characterization, their organization in composite materials and testing of the catalytic properties in the selective oxidation of terpenes. |
